Thoughts for August 9, 2006
These came from, "Don't Squat With Your Spurs On. A cowboys Guide to Life." If you're gonna' give a lesson in meanness to a person or a critter, don't be surprised if they learn the lesson. You and only you have control over your attitude and what you present to the world, your familiy and your children. Especially as a father, we will teach our children to be what we wnat them to be whether we realize it or not or whether we intend it or not. Jesus taught us we reap what we sew. Not matter where you ride to, that's where you are. A man's ways always seem right in his own eyes...until he gets to where he's going. Then he wonders how in heaven's name he got there. We have to keep aware who got us where we are. We did...all by ourselves...without help from heaven. But we could have had help from God, had we asked for it. A body can pretend to care, but they can't pretned to be there. One of the worst feelings in the world is false love. Too many times we take advantage of ach other pretneding to care...to love. Only true love will lay down one's life for another. Jesus laid His life down for His bride, the church. Husbands must be ready to lay down their lives for their brides. But wives. Through your devotion to your marriage, your husband and your family, you're called to the same committment.
Y'all enjoy this day... 2006-08-09 16:33:42 GMT
