Entry for September 25, 2006: A Spritiual Reason for My Anger
"I saw so much crap over there I just can't believe there is a God. I mean get real. If God exists, why does He let little kids deal with bein' blown to hell?" A better question is why do we do it to children? Why do we insist on blowing each other up? Why do we continue to make war and when we do, they are always fought by the poor and the lower middle class? The idea is war is obviously unjust, bombs and bullets have no conscience, men kill and maim other men, and innocent people will always be involved. You see God told Adam and Eve that if they took from a specific tree in the center of the Garden that they would surely die. Now God didn't say how specifically they would die, just that they would die. Let me offer that they did die. They died physically, genetically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally. And just as God foretold, those same problems entered the rest of the human race because of actions of one couple. Lastly, God cannot violate the natural, physical or spiritual laws He has put in place unless and until in His Sovereign judgment the situation warrants a miracle. Once the rule of leaving the tree alone had been broken everything about our lives had been corrupted. Absolute faith in God and the total peace that existed between mankind and the Lord was no longer possible without sacrifice. It had been destroyed; betrayed. Once violated, the complete trust in God I had as a man was now in jeopardy. And the only thing that could restore the balance was a sacrifice, and God himself would provide that. Let me leave you with this. If I don't want a relationship with God, why do I get angry about others hearing about Him? That in itself is relationship. If I don't believe in God, why does it make me mad when others who do, talk about Him? That indicates belief in Him. And finally, if I didn't want help and answers, why would I continue to argue the existence of a God I don't believe in? That says I'm looking for Him. Very excellent insight into why we get angry over weather we believe or not. We should all re-read this a few times and think about it.
